Zangeres Tamara Maria heeft na het afronden van het Hilversums Conservatorium het Ans Witting Stipendium gewonnen, waarmee ze zich verder heeft gespecialiseerd in Braziliaanse muziek in Rio de Janeiro. Met een absolute autoriteit, swingende relaxte timing en verfijnde smaak, zingt ze de Braziliaanse klassiekers. Ze heeft opgetreden op het North Sea Jazz Festival, op televisie met Cor Bakker, in theaters met haar theaterprogramma "A Tribute to Elis Regina", en op het Blue Note Festival in België.
